Mabon will be starting work with UCCF as Relay Worker in August 2026.

Mabon is doing Relay in Aberystwyth, supporting the Christian Unions in Aberystwyth University and Aberystwyth University - Welsh.

Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.

Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.

Mabon says...

Helo, I'm Mabon, and I will be a Relay Worker with the CUs in Aberystwyth.

I've really enjoyed my time at Aberystwyth University studying Creu Cyfryngau (Creating Media). If I look back to myself in my first year, I remember looking up to the Relay Workers and seeing how they supported the CU, but I didn't think I would be working as a Relay Worker myself, as I'm quite a quiet person. Looking back now, I can see God at work and how the CUs have helped me massively to grow in my faith and in confidence. I'm glad to be spending another year in Aberystwyth and, through the Lord's strength, to have the opportunity to encourage and help the students grow in their faith. I've also had the privilege of being a part of and seeing the Welsh Language CU grow over my time studying, and we are praying for more Welsh-speaking students eager to get involved this year.

It would be great if you could partner with me this year; this can be done through signing up for my prayer letter or partnering with me financially. I am aiming to raise approximately £12,000 to cover my living and ministry expenses and would be grateful if you could prayerfully consider partnering with me financially. Through partnering, your prayers and financial support will allow the Lord to help me as a Relay Worker to share and give the students the opportunity to hear and reflect on the grace and love found in Jesus.

• Pray that I continue to grow closer to God and depend on Him more every day, that through out the year that I can stand firm in faith and trust and have a firm foundation to be able to share the good news.
• Pray that God gives me wisdom in the way I answer challenging questions and situations and that He will give me comfort and confidence when doing talks and that He will provide everything I need when I don't have the confidence.
• Pray for the students that the Lord will continue to work in their lives and that they will build on their relationship with Jesus so that they can go in confidence and share about Jesus on campus and with their friends.
