Tom will be starting work with UCCF as CU Staff Worker in August 2025.

I first came to Oxford in 2017 to study History. Amidst the essays and many late nights playing pool in the college bar, university was deeply formative for me as a Christian. In my university church, and in the Christian Union, I found a wonderful collection of brothers and sisters committed to telling their friends about Jesus. The notion of sharing Jesus was one that I had never taken seriously before. Being part of the CU, however, changed that; sharing Jesus really mattered in the light of eternity and sharing Jesus really was possible amongst my university friends.  

Since graduating, I have been involved in student ministry at various churches - first in Oxford, then in Bristol. To work with students over the last five years has been a privilege. I have loved the opportunity to support and encourage a wide variety of students with the good news of the gospel. It has been particularly exciting to see students meeting Jesus as they engage with the glorious truths of the Scriptures. Continuing to do this  is what excites me most about my role as a UCCF Staff Worker in Oxford. 

Serving as a Staff Worker is a great privilege for me personally. And yet, I’m profoundly aware that my work cannot happen without the prayer, encouragement and financial support of a far wider group of people.
