Kosovo Easter Team

Kosovo is a small, landlocked country in Southeastern Europe. It is majority Muslim, with well under 1% of the population identifying as Evangelical Protestant. In this context the CU movement (Fara E Mire, 'The Good Seed') at the University of Prishtina is pioneering its first ever events week.

The UCCF South East team will be joining them to share the good news of Jesus on campus and to strengthen this grassroots movement. This Easter team is a chance to stand alongside believers who are breaking new ground, to grow in boldness as you share your faith, and to catch a vision for mission that reaches far beyond your own context.

Whether you’re already passionate about evangelism or simply curious to explore what God is doing in places where the gospel is little known, we warmly invite you to apply. Come and be part of history in the making - serving, learning, and seeing how God works when His people step out in faith.

This year students from the South East region will be going to Kosovo for an Easter Mission! We’d love you to prayerfully consider applying to join us.

We will be using accommodation at a local church which comprises a number of shared rooms with bunk beds and shared bathrooms.

Here's what the week will look like :

  • Day 1 - we travel, arrive and settle in
  • Day 2 - we will be joining a local church for their Sunday service
  • Day 3-7 - will involve first contact evangelism at the university campus and evening meetings
  • Day 8 - will be spending time with the Kosovo team exploring the capital Pristina
  • Day 9 - we will travel home

The trip should cost between £555-675, depending on flights and time of booking. Staff Workers will be drawing alongside you to help facilitate your fundraising efforts. Successful applicants are responsible for ensuring they have the money in time for the trip.

You will be expected to bring money in cash and use this to pay for meals. Food may be bought in a group with contributions from students.

Those travelling on a British passport will not be required to apply for a visa for this trip. There is a small tourist tax payable during the week and is included in the estimated cost of the trip. There are no vaccinations required for this trip but it is recommended that you are up to date with your routine vaccination courses and boosters. You may also wish to speak to your GP or pharmacist about additional vaccines such as Hep A.
