You have a chance to be part of a UCCF summer team in Serbia. This small Balkan nation has a rich yet complex history, and evangelical Christians remain a small minority. We’re excited to partner with the Serbian student movement, EUS (Evandeosko Udruzenje Studenata) to run a summer camp - teaching English, sharing cultures, and introducing students to Jesus through the gospel. This is a unique opportunity to serve, grow in faith, and build friendships that cross borders. Join us and make a lasting impact for Christ in Serbia!
In the past we've had the privilege of seeing people trust in Jesus for the first time, and others take significant steps forward in their walk with him through the camp, as well as growing ourselves in the love of our global God.
The team will take place from 24 July to 6 August. We'll meet in Manchester on the 24 July to enjoy time together before flying out to Belgrade on the 25 July. We'll then travel back to Belgrade for time to debrief and follow up with students in both Belgrade and Novisad.
Expect plenty of time with Serbian students – playing games, enjoying volleyball, chatting over coffee and preparing and teaching engaging English lessons. You’ll learn to praise God in Serbian, enjoy generous Mediterranean‑Slav hospitality and maybe even make lifelong friends. We’re taking a team of eight, including leaders.
Applications will close on Thursday 23 April with interviews planned for Thursday 7 and Friday 8 May. We'll have in-person orientations in the South East and Scotland regions on Friday 29 to Saturday 20 May and you'll have chance to meet as a whole team the day before you fly.
Before and after camp, we’ll stay in Belgrade in a hostel near the EUS office, exploring the city and sampling (and attempting to cook!) local cuisine. The camp is a 6–7 hour minibus or coach journey across the border into Bosnia and Herzegovina, at Emek Beraka. Accommodation in both locations is in single‑sex dorm rooms, and we’ll use local buses for travel around Belgrade.
Would you prayerfully consider joining in with this crucial mission? This year we’re taking along students from both the South East and Scotland regions! We’d love for you to apply.
