Men despise religion. They hate it and are afraid it may be true. The cure for this is first to show that religion is not contrary to reason, but worthy of reverence and respect. Next make it attractive, make good men wish it were true, and then show that it is. Pascal
God has spoken, at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by His Son, and the Son comes to us ‘clothed with his gospel’ (Hebrews 1:1-4).
How then can we better introduce people to Jesus through this gospel?
The answer cannot be mere technique, but a recovery of our humanity, for Jesus makes us more human not less. And so with reason and imagination, with faithfulness and the Spirit’s help, we point people to Christ in the scriptures, we introduce people to a Saviour who is true and good and beautiful.
Can you imagine a world, where when you talk about Jesus, people can’t help but listen?
We believe that such a world is possible; that it’s possible for Christians to speak in a way that actually connects with our culture, that challenges its presuppositions, and that shows off the gospel clearly - in all of its truth, beauty and goodness.
The Peitho Forum exists for those who long to share Jesus with a world that doesn’t know him. Over 24-hours you’ll receive world-class training in the how and why of persuasive evangelism, you’ll have an opportunity to receive constructive feedback on an evangelistic talk that you’ve prepared, and you’ll enjoy fellowship and friendship with other likeminded Christians from across Wales.
