Relay Worker in our Central region.
Beth is doing Relay in Oxford, supporting the Christian Union in the University of Oxford.
Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.
Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.
Hello! Having been a part of the Oxford Inter-Collegiate Christian Union as a student, I'm really excited to be serving along the CU for another year as a Relay Worker.
University can be such a daunting time, but I really believe it comes with particularly great evangelistic opportunities. This year I'm keen to serve OICCU as they seek to share the Gospel with those around them. I'm also looking forward to growing in my own walk with Jesus as I learn more about what it looks like to serve Him in a full-time ministry role. Practically, this will involve meeting up with students to encourage them in their own faith and witness, helping with OICCU's events, developing my own skills and knowledge through the study programme, and working for the UCCF logistics team.
Relay is a volunteering programme, and so this year I will be dependent on the financial support of others. I'm hoping to raise £15,000, and all of this will contribute to my ministry expenses and living costs. Above all, please do pray for me and for the CU; I'll be sending out regular prayer letters with particular prayer points as the year goes on. Do consider partnering with me financially or through prayer, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
