Relay Worker in our Wales region.
Christian is doing Relay in Cardiff, supporting the Christian Unions in Cardiff University and Cardiff Metropolitan University.
Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.
Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.
Hey there! I’m Christian, and I’m really looking forward to spending the next year serving as a Relay Worker with Cardiff University’s Christian Union.
Uni can be a pretty intense time - it’s full of change, growth, and big questions. I believe it’s one of the most important seasons for students to explore what faith in Jesus really means. That’s why I’m committing this year to full-time ministry: to walk alongside students, share the life-changing message of the gospel, and encourage them to live out their faith boldly on campus.
As part of the Relay programme, I’ll be mentored by a Staff Worker, diving into theology, and getting stuck in with the CU’s mission to make Jesus known. I’m also excited for how God will shape me through this experience and prepare me for whatever’s next.
Relay is a volunteer-based role, so I’ll be raising £10,000 to cover my living and ministry expenses. I’d love to invite you to consider partnering with me - through financial support, prayer, or both. Every bit of support helps make this mission possible, and I’m genuinely grateful for anyone who wants to be part of it.
If you’ve got any questions or just want to chat more about what I’ll be doing, feel free to reach out. I’d love to connect!
Prayer is a vital part of supporting Christian’s work with Christian Unions. Here are some prayer points from Christian:
It costs on average £10,000–£14,000 to cover the living and ministry expenses of a Relay Worker.
Having a team of people who partner financially and in prayer with Relay Workers means that they can:
