Ethan will be starting work with UCCF as Relay Worker in August 2025.
Ethan is doing Relay in Birmingham, supporting the Christian Union in the University of Birmingham.
Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.
Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.
Ethan says...
Hi there - I'm Ethan, and I'm very excited to be doing Relay in Birmingham this year! It's been a real joy to serve with Warwick CU for the last 3 years, something I never imagined would be such a huge part of my time at university. Now the Lord has another step for me, to serve with Birmingham CU in His mission, and to be equipped and trained to come alongside students with the gospel. I expect to be challenged over the course of the year, but am looking forward to seeing how this grows my dependence on Christ and His love for me, so please pray for me as I do this.
On the discipleship side of Relay, I'll be doing a theology study programme, meeting regularly with a Staff Worker and attending training conferences, which all will help me grow in my confidence in the gospel, and equip me to better share it for the rest of my life. On the CU side, I'll be putting what I learn into practice, meeting with students and CU leaders to encourage them, as well as being able to give time to reading the Bible with students who are seeking the Lord Jesus.
As this is an unpaid year, I'll need to raise around £12,000 to fund the year, so please do prayerfully consider if you could contribute to that in any way. Also, please do hit the prayer letter button to hear how it's going! I'd love for you to be praying for me.
