Gwion will be starting work with UCCF as CU Staff Worker in August 2021.
Hello there, my name’s Gwïon and I am the new Staff Worker for the mid-Wales region which means I’ll be working with the Christian Unions at Aberystwyth and Lampeter University. I’ve been visiting Aberystwyth since before I can remember, spending time with my family and attending the annual Aber Conference. I am now an Aber alum after studying film and television studies and am currently working as a Relay Worker in the very same region. I’ve loved connecting with the students over the course of this year and am excited to be used as a tool in the Redeemer’s hands in ministering to them. I am currently a member at Alfred Place Baptist Church so I feel blessed also to continue serving there.
My hope for this year is to aid the CU as it transitions under the current COVID restraints, supporting them as they reach out to students who have not yet known the Grace of Christ. After a year of struggle and hardship, many unbelieving students will be questioning whether there really can be someone who cares for them and many Christian students will be questioning how they can approach them. Please pray for me as I engage with each of these students both in discipleship and evangelism as they are challenged and encouraged.
In this calling, I would really appreciate your support, none of this is would be possible without the Lord’s guiding hand. Would you please consider donating to my work, UCCF is a non-profit organisation and a portion of my salary is reliant on the giving of supporters. I am dedicated to working in my ministry as the ox to the plough yet, as Paul says in 1 Corinthians 9, I do not want to be muzzled with economic constraints. If you are able to give, I would be grateful. If that isn't feasible, there is always a need for prayer, of which I am always grateful. Thank you.
Please give now to support Gwion’s vital work with Christian Unions. We can’t do this without you.Set up a monthly donation Make a one-off gift
