Naja Klemme

Relay Worker.

Naja is doing Relay in Galway.

Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ. UCCF also partner with CUI to facilitate the running of the Relay Programme in Ireland.

Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.

Naja says...

Hi! My name is Naja and I just finished my degree in theatre in Waterford. In the next year, I will be supporting the students in the CU in Galway as a Relay Worker and can't wait to see what God has in store for the CU in Galway. My time in CU has not only been a massive part of my own college experience because of the friendships I've formed and how it has brought me closer to God, but also helped me grow in the calling that God has for my life and I am so excited to witness God moving in the same ways on the Galway Campus. I love seeing how God leads young people to follow him and changes hearts, so I am praying that he puts me in those positions next year where I can support students who are Christians or only just exploring faith in encountering Christ.

Relay is a volunteer year and I am relying on supporters to help raise living and ministry costs. I am hoping to raise approximately 10k to be able to focus on growing in God's word and walking alongside the students in Galway. It would be amazing if you would prayerfully consider partnering with me in this ministry. Whether you'd support me financially or in prayer, I would love it if you signed up to my prayer letter to follow how God is moving in Galway.

Pray for Naja

Prayer is a vital part of supporting Naja’s work with Christian Unions. Here are some prayer points from Naja:

  • Moving to a new place is always daunting. I would like to ask you to pray that God will put the right people in my life and prepare me for the transition to Galway.
  • In a position like Relay it is easy to feel inadequate, please pray for assurance in the knowledge that God's spirit will move through me and that he will enable me to do the things he has set out to do in his sovereignty.
  • Please also pray for the campus in Galway and that students would become curious of who Jesus and that he would open up hearts toward him.

Partner with Naja

It costs on average £8,000–12,000 to cover the living and ministry expenses of a Relay Worker.

Having a team of people who partner financially and in prayer with Relay Workers means that they can:

  • Encourage CU students in their faith in the Lord Jesus.
  • Give biblically-grounded answers to students exploring Christianity.
  • Support CUs as they seek to give every student the opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel.
