Robert will be starting work with UCCF as Relay Worker in August 2026.
Robert is doing Relay in Aberdeen, supporting the Christian Union in Robert Gordon University.
Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.
Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.
Hi there, I'm Robert. I'm super excited to say that I'll be doing Relay this year! Over the last three years I have been blessed to have served in Keele CU, which overall has been some of the best years of my life so far. This has been a platform for me to grow and become bolder in my faith - all through His strength and grace.
The same fire for Christ I experienced throughout my time in the CU is the very thing I want to continue pursuing as I take on a new role in a new place. Moving to Aberdeen and serving alongside the students at Robert Gordon CU will be a new chapter of growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus whilst encouraging students to know and continue building their relationships with Christ. I want other students to experience the goodness of God and have a hunger for Him as they move into a pivotal part of their life.
This is a big challenge where I pray my dependence in God will continue to grow. As I do this and take on this new role, Relay is a voluntary position, so I would love to ask that you would prayerfully consider partnering with me, financially and through prayer, across this next year. I would appreciate any support you are able to give, it will go a long way!
Prayer is a vital part of supporting Robert’s work with Christian Unions. Here are some prayer points from Robert:
It costs on average £10,000–£14,000 to cover the living and ministry expenses of a Relay Worker.
Having a team of people who partner financially and in prayer with Relay Workers means that they can:
