I came to know Jesus as a student at university through the witness of the Christian Union — and it changed everything. That was where the gospel came alive for me, where I encountered real joy, real hope, and real purpose in Christ. When I got to university, being part of a Christian fellowship helped me grow in my faith, surrounded by people who loved Jesus and spurred me on. Those years were foundational, and I’ll always be grateful for them.

That’s why I’m thrilled to be stepping into the role of UCCF Staff Worker in Essex. Every year, thousands of students arrive at university — many of them having never truly heard about Jesus. I believe the Christian Unions are in a powerful position to change that. Students reaching other students with the gospel is one of the most exciting things I can imagine, and I’m passionate about walking alongside them — encouraging, equipping, and cheering them on as they live and speak for Christ.
