Relay Worker in our Midlands region.
Grace is doing Relay in Nottingham, supporting the Christian Union in the University of Nottingham.
Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.
Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.
Hi, I'm Grace! I’ve just finished studying history at the University of Nottingham where I am staying to serve as their Relay Worker over this next year.
Serving as part of the CU at university has been such a joy and an encouragement. Being spurred on by other students seeking to follow Jesus has been so beneficial for my own faith. It has also been a privilege to see others come to faith in Jesus through the impact of the CU. University is such a unique time to share the gospel and I have been pleasantly surprised with how open fellow students have been towards discussing ideas around life and faith. Having seen the impact that the CU can have, I am super excited to serve as a Relay Worker in Nottingham both to spur Christian students on in their faith and evangelism and to have opportunities to share the gospel with those who don’t yet know Jesus.
This is an impossible task for me to carry out in my own strength and so prayer asking for God’s help for both myself and the students in Nottingham is greatly needed. I also need to raise funds to cover my living and ministry expenses over the year, which will cost around £11,000. The links to give financially and to sign up to my prayer letter can be found on this page.
Prayer is a vital part of supporting Grace’s work with Christian Unions. Here are some prayer points from Grace:
