Relay Worker in our North East region.
Students of the Christian Unions in Leeds and Huddersfield are committed to loving Jesus and sharing the gospel with their friends and campuses. As a Relay worker, I'm really looking forward to getting alongside them, helping to equip them in evangelism and encouraging them in their own relationship with God. During my time at university, I've seen the impact that both speaking and living out the gospel can have on the lives of other students, who otherwise may have had no contact with church. I'm excited to see CU members grow in their knowledge and love of Christ, and for the fruit that will come from that as they share their lives and their faith with their non-Christian friends.
During Relay, I'll have the opportunity to learn more about Gods heart for students and mission through training and studying His word. I pray that as He teaches me to love Him more, God will use me to make His name known in Leeds and Huddersfield.
Relay is a voluntary programme, meaning I will be relying on donations from personal supporters to fund me through the year. If you would like to support me financially or in prayer, or both, I would love to hear from you! I'll be sending out regular prayer letters to keep you up to date with what I, and the CUs of Leeds Beckett and Huddersfield, will be doing.
It costs on average £7,000–10,000 to cover the living and ministry expenses of a Relay Worker.
Having a team of people who partner financially and in prayer with Relay Workers means that they can:
