Would you like to do Relay+ in the area of editing? Relay+ Publishing role is launching in partnership with IVP for the 2023/24 academic year. This is a unique opportunity to experience work at a leading Christian publisher alongside CU mission.
You'll develop skills and experience in communicating the gospel to today’s culture in a publishing context, with broader applicability. It provides an opportunity to gain work experience in publishing – a competitive field – in a way that is tailored to you. You will have the chance to input into future books and projects while being mentored and receiving focused training in useful employable skills within a Christian office environment.
You'll spend two days a week working with IVP. Preferably you will be London-based, with Oxford or Cardiff as alternative options (IVP has editorial staff based in these three locations). Your time would include regular days at the London IVP office in-person though there will be flexibility around other Relay activities. IVP typically has their in-person key editorial meetings on alternate Tuesdays where they aim to be together in-person, though designated in-person team office days vary depending on what else is going on.
You can expect to be mentored and managed within IVP by someone who’s previously been involved in UCCF. In addition, you'll have a UCCF supervisor with whom you'll study the Bible, pray, plan strategically, receive feedback and see how the gospel practically impacts all of life. IVP will cover reasonable expenses for travel and sustenance when coming into the office.
Please note: this opportunity is not automatically available and is dependent on a range of factors, including team capacity. If you are interested, please apply and we will get back to you as soon as we are able.
