A well-designed website allows you to have all of your information in one place all with your own branding in mind and customisable features.

It can take time to set up a well-designed website with all the information you want to include, so check if you have the time or resources first.

Having your own website is particularly ideal for international students who may not use the same social media platforms that most British students use.

A website allows people to access all the same information that would otherwise be on social media pages they can’t access. You would need to make sure your website is linked on your SU website page since this is most likely where many international students will find out more about the CU. Your website can be a one-stop-shop for all CU members to keep up to date with information and sign up to activities.

There are plenty of great website building pages including Wix and Squarespace. You will need to pay for a domain name (otherwise the address will end with .wixsite.com which can make it harder to find in search engines) but building your website is normally free.
