In the days after results day, you have a unique opportunity as a CU to welcome new students to your uni. You’ll be doing this through all your social media platforms but another helpful way to welcome new students is by hosting a “CU welcome call”.

Though we may want to leave Zoom in the past, a group video call gives an opportunity for new students to meet one another and have their questions answered about life at your uni. It also allows you to share helpful information about CU and local churches.

In the exciting yet daunting time of starting uni, the CU welcome call is an opportunity to offer people the same welcome that Jesus has offered to us – whether they are already Christians, don’t know what they believe or don’t believe anything at all.

This guide will give you everything you need to advertise, organise and host an effective CU welcome call.
